Adoption Events

Bark in the Park on October 8th:  We participated in McKamey’s annual event.  It was a great day of networking and fun for all.

Petsmart Event–Mega-Adoptathon-September 2011

What a wonderful weekend at PetSmart. I want to thank everyone who came out to support the CCAC. Especially to all my wonderful volunteers… couldn’t do it without you! CCAC had 17 dogs adopted and 2 cats! 8 of the 17 were shelter dogs that are now in happy homes. All four agencies (HES, McKamey, Walker County and CCAC) had a total of 182 total adoptions!!!!!!!  Amazing

Also, just to give some numbers so far this year we have pulled 27 animals from the Catoosa County Shelter and helped re home them. We have had 22 adoptions this year through CCAC. That is 49 animals total this year so far. This doesn’t include all the ones that we try to help owners find new homes as well.

DOGS FOR DOGS–Friday Sept. 2nd, 2011

Hosted by Northwest GA Bank in Fort Oglethorpe. Many people stopped by and purchased a hot-dog lunch and met some furbabies that needed a loving fur-ever home!  We found homes for 2 of the shelter dogs and 1 shelter kitten–approx. $500 was raised for our foster/adoption program.  We also found a great home for Buddy, our older foster lab, who was sponsored by Temper and Tom–a bomb search team in Iraq.  Check out the article on this CCAC event in the Catoosa Weekly supplement by the Chattanooga Times Free Press. The article is on page 11. Click here to view!

Saturday Aug. 6th: CCAC participated in Tractor Supply’s Animal Appreciation Day!  We had one adoption from this event!
