• We provided assistance for 493 spay/neuters for cats and dogs this past year. 
• We helped place 154 animals this year through adoptions, shelter transfers, rescues and networking to place in homes.  We also helped several cat colonies with TNR.
• Many animals were kept in their homes through our efforts to help families in need.

Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care received a generous grant of $1,500 from the A.S.P.C.A. (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) to help low-income residents spay or neuter their pets. The mission of Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care is the humane treatment of animals, which is achieved through education, advocacy, pet adoptions, and low-cost spay/neuter programs. The prevention of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens reduces the number of animals that are left homeless or sent to shelters. According to the A.S.P.C.A., well over half of the animals that enter shelters are destroyed simply because there are no homes for them. Spaying or neutering pets helps reduce these numbers.
