PetSmart Mega Adopt-A-Thon–A Big Success!!!

May 4th – Friday 12:00 – 8:00, May 5th – Saturday 10:00 – 8:00, May 6th – Sunday 12:00 – 6:00. The three-day pet adoption event was held at all PetSmart® stores in North America with a goal of helping to find thousands of pets a lifelong, loving home.

We want to thank all our wonderful members and volunteers that made it possible for us to participate. We found great homes for 28 animals over this past weekend. We were thankful for the opportunity to work with the other humane groups in our area and network with so many caring people.

2011 Accomplishments

The devastation of the April 27, 2011 tornados catapulted our community in ways we never imagined.  It has resulted in many contacts and partners that have lead us in many directions.   Through the help of supporters, volunteers and grants we were able to accomplish the following:

  • We provided assistance for 493 spay/neuters for cats and dogs this past year.
  • We helped place 154 animals this year through adoptions, shelter transfers, rescues and networking to place in homes.  We also helped several cat colonies with TNR.
  • Many animals were kept in their homes through our efforts to help families in need.

We are very thankful for our supporters and volunteers that enable us to continue to help the families and animals of Catoosa County.
