Grants
Best Friends awarded CCAC a $7,500 grant for the spay/neuter of cats Dec. 2010. We have worked tirelessly to help many situations this past year, and have made great use of the funding. We were able to help spay/neuter 296 cats. In April of 2012, we were awarded $7,000 from Best Friends in partnership with PetSmart Charities to help fund the spay/neuter of both cats and dog. This program is to help those in financial need. We all have the goal of “No More Homeless Pets.”
Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care received a generous grant of $1,500 from the A.S.P.C.A. (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) to help low-income residents spay or neuter their pets. The mission of Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care is the humane treatment of animals, which is achieved through education, advocacy, pet adoptions, and low-cost spay/neuter programs. The prevention of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens reduces the number of animals that are left homeless or sent to shelters. According to the A.S.P.C.A., well over half of the animals that enter shelters are destroyed simply because there are no homes for them. Spaying or neutering pets helps reduce these numbers. If you think you may qualify for assistance, please call Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care at 706-937-2287. In February 20102, the A.S.P.C.A. has generously awarded us $5,000 for financial assistance with vet care to families that are in financial need. Our goal is to keep pets in their homes.
The Greg Biffle Foundation awarded CCAC a $2,000 grant to help fund our spay/neuter program. They are generous supporters to many animal advocates. Visit their website.

Daisy
We recently rescued a sweet girl named Daisy. She was bought from a breeder as a pup – then abandoned as she reached adulthood. After rescuing her, we were informed by our Vet that poor Daisy is Heartworm POSITIVE! She is currently in week 3 of her treatment – but we desperately need help with her medial bills. If you can spare anything at all to help poor Daisy, please click the DONATE button on the left hand side and please be sure to include a note stating that your donation is for Daisy’s vet bills!
Donations Update
Our Tornado Relief donations drive may not be set up anymore – but we are still helping folks effected by the April storms. If you or someone you know was effected and needs supplies for their pet(s), please give us a call at (706) 937-2287 or e-mail us at catoosaanimal@gmail.com
