Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care (CCAC) was awarded a grant of $3,000 from the BISSELL Pet Foundation, a charity of BISSELL, Inc., which carries a line of products to help clean up after pets.
The grant was awarded in March 2016. “We just got the check,” says CCAC president Kelly Evans. “The money will be used for spaying and neutering, FIV/FEV tests, heartworm tests— basic vet care to prepare animals for adoption.”
BISSELL Pet Foundation said in their letter announcing the award of the grant, “Your compassion and commitment to homeless pets has resonated strongly with us, and it brings us much joy to award Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care, Inc. a BISSELL Pet Foundation Grant.”
BISSELL also donated a vacuum cleaner to CCAC to raffle for fundraising purposes and added the organization to their designated donation program through their web site, bissell.com.
CCAC is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to finding homes for abandoned animals, reducing animal overpopulation through low-cost spay/neuter programs and educating the public about the humane treatment of animals.
