Petco Foundation Invests In Lifesaving Work of Catoosa Citizens For Animal Care
Grant of $5000.00 will extend efforts to save more animal lives in Ringgold, Georgia

Ringgold Feb 1st, 2015 – Catoosa Citizens for Animal Care of Ringgold, Georgia, today announced it has been awarded a $5,000.00 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its adoption preparation-which includes animal care, vaccinations, necessary medical treatment, spay/neuter.

Catoosa Citizens For Animal Care is a nonprofit organization [brief description of the organization and its purpose] serving [geographical community name]. Since 1993, Catoosa Citizens For Animal Care has been working hard to reduce the number of adoptable animals euthanized in county shelter as well as helping residents in need with low cost spay/neuter assistance.

The Petco Foundation investment will help to save more animals from our local shelter that might have otherwise be euthanized- find loving homes. This grant will pay for necessary vet care each animal needs including: vaccinations, spay/neuter and any other necessary medical treatment.

The Petco Foundation has served as a voice for companion animals across the country since 1999. Today, with more than 8,000 local animal welfare partners across the country, the Petco Foundation donates approximately $15 million a year to make a difference in the lives of millions of animals. The organization is funded through donations raised during fundraisers conducted in Petco’s more than 1,300 stores across the country, as well as from Petco associates, vendors and corporate contributions. Money raised helps fund animal welfare organizations, spay and neuter efforts, animal-assisted therapy programs and humane education. The majority of the funds raised remain in the communities where they were raised, as well as animal welfare efforts nationwide.
